Does anyone know how to use a OLD sears dwell tachometer?

You forgot to mention strobe, well in points and condener ingnition, you first need to know the timing, how many degrees before top dead center, and the reccommended dwell, attach the pos to the coil and ground the other lead, mark the timing mark on the harmonic balancer with white out or chalk, dissconnect the vacuum advance, advance the throttle to 1000 to 1200 rpm, adjust distributor to hit on your timing mark you made, use the flex driver to put in the allen head screw on the points and slowly turn the screw to get the dwell you want, then reattach vacuum advance and see how it does.

Inductive pickup lead to #1 (spark plug) wire.
