They can... unless her doctor tells her not to
///to add///
If some of you people are implying that I dont have a child... I do... and I am not copying. Some women have to go on bed rest and have high risk pregnancies and their doctors tell them NOT to have sex. Geeze your so friggen stoopid... no way are you a real "dr." (yes you know who I am talking about). Maybe a doctor who just barely passed through med school. Gawd. So stoopid.

When It's Not Safe
There are two types of sexual behavior that aren't safe for any pregnant woman:
*If you engage in oral sex, your partner should not blow air into your vagina. Blowing air can cause an air embolism (a blockage of a blood vessel by an air bubble), which can be potentially fatal for mother and child.
*You should not have sex with a partner whose sexual history is unknown to you or who may have a sexually transmitted disease, such as herpes, genital warts, chlamydia, or HIV. If you become infected, the disease may be transmitted to your baby, with potentially dangerous consequences.
If your doctor, nurse-midwife, or other pregnancy health care provider anticipates or detects certain significant complications with your pregnancy, he or she is likely to advise against sexual intercourse. The most common risk factors include:
*a history or threat of miscarriage
*a history of pre-term labor (you've previously delivered a baby before 37 weeks) or signs indicating the risk of pre-term labor (such as premature uterine contractions)
*unexplained vaginal bleeding, discharge, or cramping
*leakage of amniotic fluid (the fluid that surrounds the baby)
*placenta previa, a condition in which the placenta (the blood-rich structure that nourishes the baby) is situated down so low that it covers the cervix (the opening of the uterus)
*incompetent cervix, a condition in which the cervix is weakened and dilates (opens) prematurely, raising the risk for miscarriage or premature delivery
*multiple fetuses (you're having twins, triplets, etc.)
- Also if a womans water broke you cant have sex anymore because theres a high risk of getting a infection

The only time a pregnant woman can't (shouldn't) have sex during pregnancy is if the period of gestation is deemed 'high risk' by a medical authority. Other than that the only thing prohibiting a woman from having sex while pregnant is the level of discomfort she may experience because of the protruding abdomen. Other than that it is perfectly safe to have sex any time during the pregnancy!

In most cases, it is perfectly safe and normal for PREGNANT women to have sex. Unless it is uncomfortable or painful. The doctor may tell some women not to due so if they are having a high-risk pregnancy.

Thier is no reason a pregnant girl can not have sex unless she has been told not to by a dr, which the dr would only say if thier was a chance it could be harmful to the baby. If you are pregnant and have been told not to talk to your dr. He/She will tell you wether you can or not and if they say no ask why and im sure they will tell you.

Can you not spell? It's "pregnant". And, yes, women can have sex while pregnant, unless her doctor tells her not to. She may have to have sex in a different position than the ones she's used to though.

When she's delivering; not kidding. Of course, always talk to your doctor for medical advice such as this, but we were told that as long as the pregnancy was proceeding well it was actually a good thing to me doing.

never
Anyone on here telling you that there is a certain time thatyou have to stop, does not know what they are talking about.
you can safely have sex through the whole pregnancy.
Just for the record, my wife and I have 6 children. So I know what I'm talking about and any doctor will back me up
These ansqwers that say "when your doctor says no" are from people who have either never had a child or they are just copying from the person that doesn't have a clue

I don't want to be disgusting but I heard near the end of a woman's pregnancy it is good to have sex because it stretches the cervix and makes delivery easier.
