no, you cannot mix the two. just buy a filter and a couple more quarts of synthetic and do an oil change.

Don't do it either use one or the other. If the bike has been ran on conventional oil it will not run as well on synthetic and vice versa, due to what the clutch has been broken in with. In a car engine you can usually switch oil types with no side effects, but not bikes! Also the additive packages in the oil are not the same and why try a chemistry experiment and possibly damage the clutch on your bike? Remember conventional oil has been refined from crude oil from the ground Synthetic is just that synthetic which equals man made 100%.

Some synthetics you cannot mix with conventional oil. Some are designed so you can. Look at the bottle, and if it says you can, you can. If it doesn't say you can, I wouldn't. I made that mistake once, and what I ended up with was a motor that started burning oil and smoking. Synthetic oil is great, but on a motor ran so long on conventional, I personally wouldn't switch it. It's usually best to use what a motor was broke in on as parts tend to wear to match the properties of that oil. Most of that high mileage stuff is just a marketing ploy anyway. Engines are lasting longer than did in the past because the parts in them are better now, not neccesarrily because someone used high mileage oil.

Yes you can mix the two. Nevertheless, the only problem you might have is an oil leak after the oil change due to the fact that synthetic oil is much thinner than conventional oil. Just mix the two oils and if you have an oil leak you should use only conventional oil in future oil changes. Make sure you measure your oil weekly, especially if you have a leak.

Yes, they make a mix from the factory, my only question would be why? The milage has little to do with anything.
