The Iraqi parliment is about to take a month's vacation while our troops lay their life on the line. This will cost American taxpayers $200,000 a minute. Bush keeps saying "when they stand up we stand down". How the hell can they stand up if they don't even work at it?

It is the opinion of quite a few people that the less the Congress does, the better off we are. They almost invariably create new problems with each "solution" passed.
But I do agree with part of the question.
Vote against the incumbent.
Vote for the VETERAN
You can rarely go wrong then.

Well this may be a simplified answer but they are only doing what our Congress is doing. My suggestion would be to get rid of the old party people elected time after time due to party and family connections like Teddy Kennedy, Robert Byrd, Hilliary Clinton, John McCain and so on. That would be a start.

The US Congress has taken more time of THIS YEAR than the Iraqi congress has taken of in its entire existence. And no one is bombing Washington DC on a weekly basis. I happen to PREFER a 'do nothing ' congress. The majority of what the TRY to do is the PROBLEM not the solution.

The congress has passed quite a few bills. They just get stuck in the senate or vetoed by Bush. So you really can't say they haven't done anything or that they aren't trying it just that they get somebody there doesn't want them to get anything through.

I won't vote if President Bush won't be in office. The Terrorists will have won and America will die. I'll stay home, thanks anyway.
