Then why are people coming to the U.S. in droves from all corners of the Earth seeking asylum and citizenship? More importantly if you are residing in the U.S. and make these claims, why are YOU not flocking to go somewhere better?

Amen.

I live in the very southwest corner of Arizona.

Many people die trying to get into America to live the dream. It's very sad.

Its two different things. We can have a first world, developed nation with a high standard of living...and a crooked administration that wants to convert the government into a police state. I have no allegiance to the president. I do for the Constitution and would seek to undo much of what King George the First has accomplished over these two administrations. its our corrupt political system that is so bad. Not the nation as a whole. It went from bad to worse with the non military coup in 2000 when a presidential election was stolen.
Things like that have got to be addressed.

Currently I don't know of a nice country where I could legally move and work and earn as much as in the USA, but if I didn't have to work and were independently wealthy, I'd move to Portugal, Costa Rica, Holland, Italy, or Greece, but still vote absentee and still hope that the USA will ocntinue to have a good heart, mind, and influence in the world.
It's not so easy to just leave; other countries have laws, too, so they don't just let you move there and live illegally forever.

You don't seem to be reading very well. Most of the US citizens of the US do not feel that the US as a whole is bad at all. In fact, most of us want to improve the US where possible and to PROTECT the standards for our union set forth in the CONSTITUTION.

If you refer to all of us who feel that BUSH and company are totally wrong then you have really negelcted your reading.

Bush and Chenny have done more to dismantle the Contitution of the United States than ay prior administration. They are traitor to te United States of America and should be dealt with accordingly.

We, the people, want to RESTORE the government to one that will OBEY the rules and restrictions provided by the Constitution. This will have the effect of BETTERING the country.

Once again we have someone who equates a refusal to support the crooked regime in power with a refusal to support the country. Those are two entirely separate things. I know it's hard for Republicans to understand, but people can oppose with every fiber the things the government does because they love this country and want to see it succeed.

I don't think the USA is bad..............it certainly is not all it is cracked up to be some days BUT then again NO place is perfect..........and to be honest we ONLY moved here due to my husbands job / career...........plus he is a US citizen and he said it rains too much in the UK and is too cold lol lol

I do agree though that instead of waving flags from another Nation and whinging they should either go back home or shut up and deal with it. for my self I have picked the latter course of action..............

regards

First of all, no nation is bad or evil it is the individuals who are bad. Its just the people's point of view to the US government.
Also politics and way of life are different story.

I guessing you are starting with standard con falicy that opposing Bush is opposing US or that thinking that Bush is a horrible president is thinking the US is bad. I think the US is wonderful, but the current goverment is evil.
