Both of those schools are ranked pretty close to the top. US News puts Johns Hopkins at #2 and Yale at #8.
My advice is to not choose based on geography. See the US News link below for more details on rankings.

Johns Hopkins
It is one of the most outstanding medical schools around, but Yale is more than acceptable as is Harvard, as is U Boston or Boston U or any of the U big cities with a hospital.
Temple is good too.
ANY college or university that operates the County Health facility is good.

both are very prestigious schools, so if i were you, i would just choose the one with the programs that fit me best as well as the area of the school. both are extremely well regarded
