they bump into you and dont say sorry, or hit you with their bags and look at you like its your fault, annoying or what?

I totally agree with you there. The O.A.P's are the world's worst for manners and respect.
I work in a supemarket and see hundreds of them every day.
And they seem to stop for a conversation in the most awkward of places.

Well elders are old you should respect them because they are older they will be nice to you and respectful as well like if they bump into you say sorry im sure they will say sorry back most elders are just grumpy but you should still be respectful.

I suppose there are people that could hit you and not apologize. But, I think it can often be that they were unaware of what they were doing. Please think of that. In a society, we have to work together. The elders are usually the ones with the knowledge of our history. This is where we will be one day. It is generally a better idea to acknowledge these people for where they are in life. It doesn't mean that all the elders are good people or deserving of respect, but keep in mind that you will be there one day.

well its because of the older generation that we have all this disrespect and distruction, they should have taught there own family how to be good honest members of society, and because of this they should be made to work until 1 week before they pass over to the spirit world

Some seniors are not as aware of there total surroundings they way that you are. It's called aging. When you get old, you will like for people to give you respect.

I think if you are rude and obnoxious when you are old then you were rude and obnoxious when you were younger. I don't respect anybody I don't care what they're age is if they act like they are entitled because of who they are or how old they are. Common courtesy is something everybody can give. How hard is it to say please and thank you and excuse me including when you are old? Not to hard at all. You give respect to get it back.

however if there rude abusive or not nice there simply no longer your elders but old people,

It's no fun being old, I know because I work with older people. If you are young, you should practice tolerance. In that way, when you become an elder, you can be a miserable old sod because you will have earned that right.

People often confuse respect with dignity. Respect is earned and I don't give it out on a whim, however I do treat everyone with dignity.
