i UNDERSTAND you 2........dont even worry about it because SERIOUSLY EVERYBODY is feeling the same way you do.....it may seem like people get there and might adjust before you.....THEY'RE NOT....they nervous just like u...
1. get cool with your roomate (if u have 1) u know u ALWAYS have somebody to eat with and hang out with for the next couple of weeks
2. Don't try and re-invent yourself in college...stay the way u r because in dealing with new-adult minds coming from all parts of the nation....people can see if ur genuine or not...
3. FOCUS on y u made it to college....ur hard work and dedication got u here......study hard and have fun....
4.make sure ur teachers know ur name...when it comes down to the end of the semester and ur borderline B+ to an A.......having the professor your name PERSONALLY helps out.....

Be yourself, relax take a deep breath, ecause its goin to be a bumpy road for the next 4 years. Try not to party to much, rest take naps between classes, Try too enjoy your life. become friends with your professors because they can open doors for you. Make a point to get to know someone in the differnt departments. You may get a job there after grad. I was nervous my first year back in fall 1997, But I gain popularity, and independance. Just have fun not to much fun.

The keys to doing well are:
1. Go to class, and pay attention while there.
2. Keep up with the work. Doing a little bit every day saves you from having to do extra studying right before tests.
3. Go ahead and have fun -- but don't drink too much and don't smoke too much pot (it isn't dangerous -- but makes you lethargic). Keep away from other drugs entirely.

Ohhh....I feel your pain! I was soooo nervous too! I was so scared the first day! But, I made so many friends on the first day! Some of the teachers will have activities that introduce you guys to each other so that will make it easier to get to know one another. Good luck!

Dont worry about your college..It will be the best part of your life ;-). I dont know much about the schools here (I am an International student). But you should expect some changes and should be prepared for the way you would be taught at college. Its no rocket science. Dont worry.

Ohhh. Everyone get through this once. It's exciting and fun.
My only advice would be "Be Confident" and keep a good smile on your face. Smiles adds value to your face
Cheers
