For me the benefit of having more knowledge is enough. However, some people like money.

The average 25 year old with a college education makes $25,000 per year more than the average 25 year old without a college degree. The gap increases with age, and increases with the quality of the degree.

If you pay attention in school, you learn spelling and grammar.
Also, an education will help you learn to write. It all leads up to passing tests, doing well on job interviews, and ultimately getting that one of a kind job so that you can live happily ever after.
