You need to get some house plans, and just build it as if yu were putting together a desk from office depot.

Look at yurts.kinda like a hut but nicer.

Find a builder and work with him on plans that work for you. Building a home is very detailed and requires knowledge of plumbing, wiring, sheetrock, heating and air, foundations. All better left to the professionals.

We found old log homes and tore them down and put them back up. It was a lot of work but the expense was really low.
