Out of the 70% that disapprove of Bush's and the current administration, how many/much of that percentage is due to peoples own conclusion or due to popular opinion?

Just wondering...

It's not like I'm doing some kind of research. Whether it's 70% or lower I was simply just curious. Thanks for the info, though.

Also, believe nothing of what you hear and only half of what you see. Would that change your answer?

i think it's the other way around.

at this point, i believe that the people who support bush are the ones who are not informed.

anyone who reads just about any non-fox affiliated news is bound to wonder just how bush ever rose to become president.

Actually, it's people waking from their dogmatic slumber, more than anything.

His approval ratings, never high, were getting lower and lower and lower, until 9/11.

They they sky-rocketed to 90%. That was NOT because of Bush himself, but fear and a misplaced patriotism that said "we've been attacked, we HAVE to approve of the pres". (I was NOT one of the 90% myself.)

It's been more or less sliding ever since.

Realizing he lied us into war (which was not commonly understood at the time, as the media repeated, rather than investigated, the lies) and that he's done nothing right in HOW he's waged it, continually making everything worse.

People also were seriously disillusioned and upset watching people die from Katrina, and realizing he just didn't care at ALL.

And people are watching their own standard of living tank, ever faster; that doesn't help Bush, either.

I believe it's what they drew from their own conclusions. I have a poor opinion of Bush and company that I developed by carefully paying attention to their actions since 2001.

I base my disapproval of Bush on what I see happening to this country on a daily basis. I may be old and hard of hearing but I'm not blind.

i think that many people(imo) were initially afraid to speak out against the president. we were called unpatriotic, traitors, etc.as the disapproval grew, we were harder to shout down.

so, i think that whichever way that you look at it, conclusion or opinion, people are standing up for their beliefs. it's all the same. however you want to call it.

well, after the tragic events of 9/11 GW Bush had the overwhelming support of the American People and the world community. since then he has managed not only to squander the support of majority of the US citizenry and the world community but has squandered uncounted and unaccounted for BILLIONS of dollars, the lives of thousands of US solders and 10s, perhaps 100s, of thousands of innocent Iraqi lives as well. he deserves his unpopularity and has no one to blame but himself, Cheney and the rest of his enabling yes-people.

I would say about 20% of the 70% can't be truly subjective and rely on others for their opinion. most people do not seek information, they accept what they hear.

I despise Bush on my own merits.

A few despise him for simply being a Republican. His misadventure in Iraq has made individuals despise him of their own free will versus simply following the crowd.

I could care less what the crowd thinks concerning my personal views and judgment. Bush has earned his low approval rating.

That 70% number comes from networks like CNN etc.
That number is greatly exaggerated.
There are many people who do support him.
We forget some of the great things he has done.

This is my favorite.
