I deposited my paycheck on saturday morning, at like 10am. When i go online and check my status.. it says i have $301.06, but only $37.60 available. When will it be available?? I need to take out $200 asap... and im just itching to know.

So come monday morning... the banks open at 9am. will i be able to be there at 8:55, and go in at 9am and withdraw my $200? Or will i be able to go through the 24 hour chase ATM right there, and since its monday, would i be able to withdraw my $200 at like 6, 7 or even 8am??

Or will i even have to wait until later in the day, or even tuesday?!?

It should be available at opening on Monday. Get direct deposit the funds are available that day and saves time, and hassle. Have had it for a long time would not change it. Get paid every Thurs, and THurs at 10 am when the banks open have access to my money no standing in lines no 1-3 day wait on availability it is the way to go

Pengy has it all wrong! It will be available on Tuesday since your deposit was done on Monday's business day, your account should state that check deposits will be made available on the next business day after your deposit. That would be Tuesday in this case.

It should be available by Monday or Tuesday, but usually on Tuesdays. Mostly all banks do that because of the pending transactions, especially with the checks. You should open the online banking so you can check if your deposits has been pended. I have my checking account with them, and I always keep in track of my account with online banking. Go to http://www.chase.com to sign up. It just takes a minute. Just to warn you online banking charges you $4.00 a month, but online bill pay is free.

It's the account owner's responsibility to know how much money is in the account. It's not the bank's job to shut someone off if they run out of money. They might do it, but don't count on it. It was already mentioned, but this customer must have already authorized the bank to allow overdrafts. They can't do that unless the customer says it's OK. The bank did what they were allowed to do. The customer caused the problem. Personal responsibility can keep someone out of a lot of trouble in life.
