I think this issue is dead in the water. Nothing is going to be done on this issue with this administration. I do think think that work is going to be needed on this program. Much of the money collected from us for this program has been diverted to other things and IOU's put in there with no plan about how to replace the money. It is incredible that this was even allowed to happen. Now we will have to deal with it. Better to deal with it sooner rather than later. It gets more expensive the longer we wait. Not fair to the next generation.

Propaganda...if the Bush administration has anything to do with it, trust that it will make someone close to this administration one heck of a lot of money. IF congress would keep its hands off the SS money, not spend it on everything else, it would be just fine. In the past, every time a "tax cut" is issued to help "middle America," it contains huge tax benefits for corporations, and to keep the government running, the administration raids the SS funds. This administration has told more lies than all other administrations added together...believe NOTHING that comes from the White House, for as soon as it is said, bet that it is a cover up of a past lie. He claims "executive privilege" AND ignorance of the matter at the SAME TIME! He hasn't learned that he cannot have it both ways, but this is a lesson he is about to learn...and I hope it is taught very harshly.

The Bush privatization proposal is dead and probably won't be brought up again before he leaves office. In a way, this is a shame as something has to be done about SS now! Congress and past presidents created this mess by using SS funds to balance the budget. Now they don't have the money to pay the debt back to the SS fund. It is a mess! These are the same people who want universal healthcare? Congress must really want to bankrupt the entire nation. They are a disgrace!

Do you think we are going to know anything about the REAL activities of the SS monies? Why do we not call for a national audit as we would on any investment we have? George Bush has signed 237 bills that will affect US after he is OUT of office, it's like "walking the plank" what is in store for ALL people after he leaves office and the real pity is "who is minding our business"?

The kitty is empty, the money is long gone. War and corporate welfare. What now? We get a sucker to take this over, we can blame him. Or we get someone who'll do it and we let him off easy like Libby.
Clinton already ate heartily from the peoples money. What happened to Bhilary's universal Medicare? Bhilycare?

Privatization means profit...
Who gets that money? The Bushes are padding their future offspring's lives, and they want us to pay for it.
