In my opinion it makes for a boring World Series? It also inflates stats, and records.

Interleague baseball needs to be eliminated or limited to, let's say two or three series a year rather than practically six series for each team. If you want the Mets vs. Yankees, Cubs vs. White Sox, and Dodgers vs. Angels playing one series a year, that's fine. But that should be it. There are too many who cares Reds vs. Devil Rays series in June to justify it going on the way it does now.

I think inter-league is very good for baseball. It gives teams that are close together or sharing a city to play each other. It makes for more rivalry's. Look at the White Sox and Cubs series. Every year there is at least one clearing of the benches. It adds emotion to the game. It also gives fans a chance to see different players.

I say bad...it has gotten pretty boring. The inter-league games are the worst games of the season in my opinion. I would love if baseball got rid of inter-league...probably won't though so oh well...I'll live with the two weeks of boring baseball.

I could live without it, but it makes munny so the owners like it. Since it's not about to go away, I'd like to see it reduced from the current 16-19 games per season to 9-12 games. But this won't happen while Seligula is in charge.

The other needed change is that visitor rules should apply. MLB claims that the point of IL is to see teams that normally never visit (and yes, this is just so much lip service and hogwash, but let's turn it against the beast). If that is so, then why deny NL home fans seeing the AL visitor DHs hit, and why deny AL home fans the excitement of watching those slugging NL pitchers swing (along with the home pitchers)? Visitor rules should apply. But this won't happen either.

It is half and half.

Interleague play is good because interleague rivals like the Yankees and Mets can play eachother.

Its is bad because the American League usaully beats up the N.L.

Its good because if thier was no interleague play then most of the time two A.L. teams would be playing eachother in the World Series.

It is bad because then A.L. and N.L. rivals could neve play eachother in the World Series.
And if they did, can you imangine rivals like the Yankees and Red Sox playing each other in the World Series? The M.L.B. television ratings would sky rocket.

I hated the idea when it first came out, but now I just think it's a bore. To me Reds-Pirates is more interesting than Yankees-Mets.

If it is really the boon to ticket sales that they say, why don't they do it to begin the season when crowds are usually the smallest. This is the way college sports do the out of conference schedule and interleague play is similar.

It is great for baseball. It puts more people in the seats, makes for good competition and creates more rivalries.
