Hank Aaron deserves to keep that record.

Cheaters should not be allowed on the sacred grounds.

Suspend on the grounds of suspicion and the ongoing investigation. Let him prove it first that he is innocent, and then let him play if he is, thus avoid this hoopla and media mayhem.

Yes. Anyone who uses steroids should be suspended....better yet, should be fired and sent to jail.. upon being found guilty.

But to avoid controversy, they should be suspended until proven innocent.

Yes. He should not be suspended, just as you suggest.

Personally, if Jason Giambi had to be suspended by the Yankees last year because of allegations, I think Bonds should be too. I agree with you that Hank Aaron should keep his record until someone who has not cheated comes and takes it. I do not know what the story is, but out of anyone who could have used steroids, Bonds is the most likely subject. If he did use them, he could get away with it because the story could be turned completely around. I could see the headlines...Bonds Attcked Because of the Record or something like that. He or anyone else could easily say that people accused him of taking steroids so that he wouldn't break the record. The typical excuse if you had to ask me.

If they suspended Bonds for his probable steroid use, they'd have to suspend a bunch of other players - Giambi, Sheffield, Pudge and some others. It would be unfair to single out Bonds for suspension just because he's close to a record. Additionally, while there's plenty of evidence Bonds used steroids a few years ago, I don't think there's any good evidence that he used steroids since baseball started to get serious about steroids.

Look, a bunch of people have SAID that Bonds did steroids. Most people BELIEVE that Bonds did steroids. But nobody has ever PROVED that Bonds did steroids, and he has NEVER tested positive. So get out your hankies all of you Barry Bonds haters. He's going to crush Hank Aaron's record.

Baseball is Bonds' job. Why should someone get suspended from work for using steriods? Plus do you want everyone else suspended that use/d steroids?

no.
in this whole matter, i'm neutral. i want to see it happen because i'm a baseball fan and this is history.
but remember this-
sure he took steroids but you know what? just because you take steroids doesnt mean that you'll be hitting home runs all the time and hitting off of upper-90's pitchers. talent is still a big part.

Bonds may break Aaron's record, but he will not enjoy the accolades which Aaron rightfully earned. Some may not even acknowledge him as the all time home run king when he breaks the record.

Why should he be suspended for something that hasn't been proven yet? This bashing of Bonds is now beyond run it's course.

You would suspend someone based on facts and there is nothing, at this time, indicating that there is any problems with Bonds.
