l am thinking of tattooing my eyelid cos l have difficulty putting my eyes pencil right,so l think with the tattoo l will be free from my eyes pencil stress,l love makeup,but l am afraid l dont know if eyelid tattoo has a side effects.help please

I have been tattooing eyeliner since 1991 and it is my most popular tattooing. I also have had it myself for that long and love it.
Side effects of eyeliner tattooing include infection (as with any tattoo process), the risk of a scratched cornea if you get something in your eye and rub it (rare) and allergic reaction to the ink - also very rare.
Skin testing is relatively useless because you can't be allergic to something you have not been exposed to - generally these reactions come down the road but again, are very rare.
There is a huge benefit to the tattooing, not only because it looks good, but you aren't tugging on your lids anymore to apply makeup, etc.
It is crucial you seek out a professional - be sure to view examples of their work - it should be modest. You don't want anything harsh or unnatural looking for a tattoo there.

I had my own eyeliner tattooed on and there isn't any big side effects to having it done. You barely feel it because they will put this gel on your eye lids so it will kind of numb the area, if you wear black eyeliner DON'T pick black as your permanent color choose the darkest brown and this will prevent the discoloration. All you will need is an ice pack for your eyes when you get home to prevent any swelling.

Before you get permanent make up, you need to realize that you are tattooing to enhance the way your eye looks now. As you age, that tattoo may not be as flattering as it was, when you first had it done. The ink can also fade.
If you have it done, make sure you have a trained professional who has references and uses sterile equipment.

they numb your eyelid before they do it so it wouldnt hurt as much as people are saying. make an appointment for a consultation with the person doing the procedure. they will tell you everything you need/and dont need to know!

SIDE EFFECTS of Eyeliner Tatoo is not bad if done by a professional who knows what she is doing
color can change if tec. does not use correct color
you will have a few hours of redness ( like crying) apply ice and then antibiotic to area
If not properly taken care of--could have fever;redness and infection -- not likely though

my mom, and aunt has it done. it swelled up the first day and the second. the bad thing is the color fades to green so you would have to back and re color it.
other than that, it would be an easy way to lessen your morning routine !

it would probably hurt really bad. i would think it would go thru to your eye, but i guess its been done before.
