A little more than 30 years ago I was in San Diego having received my discharge from the Navy and was going home to Oklahoma. Unfortunately before I could make arrangements to come home I was robbed. Unscathed except by shame I called home and asked for money from my parents to get home. I wandered the streets of the city waiting for the money which was to arrive by Western Union. As I was walking I was approached by an old man who appeared to be like one of the many homeless individuals in San Diego. He asked for help to get food. I was reluctant at first because most of these people are just worthless drunks. He was unusual though, and surprisingly I had found a dollar and gave it to him. He was unusual in the fact that though he wore rags, they were clean. His hair was clean and white as snow. His eyes were the most unusual attribute he exhibited. Crystal blue and clear like they could see right through you to your soul. He thanked me for the dollar. What he said after thanking me sent a chill down my spine then that I even feel now telling you this story. He,(not knowing me nor I him) spoke my name, and told me everything would be OK and not to worry. He then turned and started walking away from me. I watched him all the time he was walking away from me. He did not disappear into a crowd or behind a building, he simply disappeared!! He dissolved into nothingness before my eyes!!! About 5 to 10 minutes after this encounter an MP asked if I was a certain GI that had wired for money from Western Union. I identified myself and went to the receiving station for my money. I bought a bus ticket home and I am OK or I couldn't have told you this story.

I'm not sure if this story would be called paranormal, but it did happen.
My boyfriend and I were at home just relaxing spending the day with our two children, I was in the living room, he was in the kitchen; when all of a sudden the glass of water I was drinking from ( I had set the glass on the counter) exploded suddenly, for no apparent reason. The glass of water wasnt ice cold or any sudden tempature change like that. We thought it very strange at the time and couldnt explain it.
Then probably about a year later, I was at home and drinking a glass of water, not unusual because I like to stay hydrated; the same thing happened again, the glass exploded suddenly. The glass was sitting on the living room table, I was in the same room and no one else was home at the time.
It was the strangest thing I have experienced that couldnt be explained.
Does anyone have any ideas on why or how this could have happened?

I was working at my desk late in the afternoon and I kept seeing a whitish or gray figure seemingly walking down the hall past my door, kind of in my peripheral vision. I happened like 3 or 4 times and I was wondering if someone was in the house.
Then I went investigating. The sun was shining on one of the windows in another room which was cracked a little bit to let in some fresh air. Every now and then a breeze would come by that parted the curtains enough to allow a beam of light to illuminate the hallway briefly. That's all it was.
That has been the freakiest "paranormal" thing that has happened to me.

Our group has experienced a lot of different things. Still haven't seen an apparition yet! But we have caught a great evp in the hallway of an upstairs haunted playhouse!! The third floor once housed the families of a brothel. I captured a child saying "home, home, I wanna go home". It goes on for about a minute! And it was NOT a dog like some say.

my most memorable unexplained experience came when i was at a wedding reception in poughipsie new york. I was 15 and had a pasion for historical places. This house was a field hospital during the civil war. The owner told us her house was haunted by a boy who would always play with her dog. The dog would roll the ball. the ball would stop and roll back by itself. The weird part came when every one else went into another room. I stayed behind and sat by the fireplace in a big antique chair. Suddenly I felt warm around me, but when i lifted my hand the air was freezing. No fire was going it wasn't that kind of heat. It can only be explained by calling it body heat. A voice in my head started talking to me. It wasn't me because it was a voice of the opposite sex. He asked me why I was here. I felt him confused and sad. he aked me why he was here, and I couldn't tell him why. he then asked if i could be his friend and before i could answer he got up and walked away. Into the empty fireplace. I never saw him, but i heard his thoughts, felt his feelings, and felt his body heat slightly larger in area than me. If that makes sense. It's a complicated thing to write about.

A couple of years ago I was sitting on the couch when I realized I couldn't get up. I felt as if someone was holding me down, but no one was there but my wife. I told her what was going on so she tried to pull me and couldn't. Then a few minutes passed and the feeling stopped and I was able to get up with both laughed and told her Dad who had passed to quit giving me a hard time. Scott Pomraning
