Some Pinoys like meztiza-type beauty (like you) so they are just looking in admiration. To some Americans, on the other hand, white beauty is common so you don't stand out. Just a case of personal preferences. I don't think anyone meant to be rude to anyone.

The asker has already offered beforehand that she is not conceited. Let us give her that.

It could be entirely something else. You're not actually AFRAID of Filipinos, are you? Maybe, in the deep recesses of your mind, you have phobia of the male species, of the Malay variety.

I was shopping around Tamimi Markets in Riyadh one day, and there was this Caucasian girl who made a scene. When she breezed in, everyone naturally followed her because she was a looker. And she said the things you said, but OUT LOUD.

In the commotion that followed, because the mall's guards thought there was a particular someone bothering her, I lost it.

Lost what? Well, the groceries I had on my rolling tray. You see, like the others I went forward the girl, to see what was wrong. And when I came back, I took my tray and rolled away, and then there was this Saudi gentlemen who kept following me wherever I go. Believe me! It's true! He followed me wherever I went for a long time. Finally, I confronted him, and he said: "That's my tray you're pushing."

Filipino's definition of beauty for women is fair or white skin, slender legs, straight nose. It could be because Philippines is a Christian country, majority -Catholic, means they pay high respect to the Virgin Mary who came from the Middle East and have white skin. Now, If Mary came from Africa then, the definition of the Filipinos of beauty would have been different, not to mention the country was colonized by white people for a very long time.

They find you attractive. Don't worry they're just admiring you. They are very nice people especially to the visitors.

Men in foreign countries love American women because we look different. In the Galapagos Islands a tall blonde is like a goddess to them. In other countries, they stare just because we're different. In the U.S. there are so many other nationalities that people don't stare much because we're used to seeing ALL ethnic backgrounds, except in smaller cities.

The reason is simple.Whether you know it or not you dress and carry yourself differant from the girls there in phil and guys pick up on that. You probably dress better and wear your makeup differantly as well.Anyway I can tell you this for sure because in traveling back and forth between Canada and Phil I have seen it with my own eyes.It is accually kind of amazing to witness and I am sure it is not just that you are imagining it or that you are concieted as when i was there with some very nice girls that got the same thing even when i was walking with them. (Although I bet you are a beautiful woman as well )

i guess it's natural to look at something or rather someone you think is 'new' or unusual. I mean, the thing that you are not used to seeing everyday. Maybe, you have that kind of looks, that people stare at you. Just be glad. At least some people are appreciating the beauty that you are.

what guys only? anyway the way the see it is that people usually stare at something that is out of the ordinary, unique, not normal, nothing they see everyday.

take a look at yourself, are you dressed differently than everybody else, were you dressed appropriately, do you look lost, do you call attention to yourself, do you speak loudly as in a foreign accent, do you look like a famous foreign or local actress?

Thank the movies and the press for promoting American looks and way of life to Asian countries. It is popular to be from America and to look American. Light skin is popular.

I am sure that you are beautiful. I do not consider myself special but I get special treatment in China. It can be hard to fathom.

Enjoy!

Filipinos idolize Whoopie Goldberg.
Maybe you look like her.
But they are confused because you are white.

Or maybe, just maybe, you have an unborn featus sticking out of your head just like in the tv cartoon South Park. Filipinos will definitely stare at you.

Or maybe, your fly was open.
