what does having a plate of salt under your bed mean. I am staying at some relatives, and they haven't been speaking to me. This morning I was cleaning out and found a plate full of salt under the bed. What is up with that?

I cannot say much more about the plate part. I have both guided others and used myself, a small mirror with a ring of salt to see if there are any spirits about. Salt has played a part in Humankind's Magick and superstition for as long as there has been any oral or written records.

Salt is basically for protection from evil. A word of advise - whenever you find such kind of salt, just dispose it off during daytime (before 11 am) outside your house preferably near some tree (peepal if possible); as this salt needs to be replaced every 3 days or atleast once a fortnight.

Cheap and somewhat easy stir-fry chicken. Cut up some cooked chicken breast. Cut up green peppers or some other color for looks, orange and yellow always look nice. A dash of garlic. Half a white onion. Dice all the vegetables, then put the chicken and vegetables in a skillet or wok if you have one. Pour a little olive oil and stir over medium to high heat. You want to heat the ingredients but not cook them till they're limp. Optional, serve over rice. ----------------------------------- Spaghetti, but use colored pasta or some other interesting pasta. Spaghetti sauce of your choice, maybe the four-cheese flavored ones by Classico. Brown some ground sirloin. Squeeze the meat into little balls, it's a little time consuming, but it's worth it. Serve the sauce and meat over cooked pasta. And as always, Enjoy!

Salt is believed to ward off spirits. It's a way of keeping the devil at bay while you're in an especially vulnerable moment.

I am not a *salt and its significance in folklore and occult* expert, however it's probably for protection. Unless your relatives don't like you. Then I would worry.
