x² - 3x = - 6x -1
subtract - 6x -1 from both sides
x² + 3x +1 = 0
ax² + bx + c = 0
x = (-b ± √(b² - 4ac))/2a
x = (-3 ± √(9 - 4))/2
x = (-3 ± √(5))/2

x² - 3x = - 6x - 1
Convert equation to standard form
Transpose 6x
x² - 3x + 6x = - 6x - 1 + 6x
collecting like terms
x² + 3x = - 1
Transpose 1
x² + 3x + 1 = - 1 + 1
x² + 3x + 1 = 0. . .Standard form

Let
a = 1
b = 3
c = 1

Quadratic Formula
x = - b ± âb² - 4ac / 2a
x = - 3 ± â(3)² - 4(1)(1) / 2(1)
x = - 3 ± â9 - 4 / 2
x = - 3 ± â5 / 2
x = - 3 ± 2.36067978 / 2
- - - - - - - -
Solving for +
x = - 3 + 2.236067978 / 2
x = - 0.763932023 / 2
x - 0.381966011
- - - - - - - - - -
Solving for -
x = - 3 - 2.236067978 / 2
x = - 5.236067978 / 2
x = - 2.618033989

ok u have to first get everything on one side...................like the left side of the equation then u get
x2-3x+6x+1=0 solving that
x2+3x+1=0 (ax2+bx+c=0)
using the quadratic formula
-b+(-)sq rt(b2-4ac)/2a
then u get
-3+sq rt(5)/2 and -3 - sq rt(5)/2
hope u understood
