Why do people say that everyone is unique when really we are all the same?

I think we are all unique, but we also all have things in common, too. No one else has the same combination of feelings, opinions, dreams, needs, dislikes and interests as you do (and certainly not all of your physical characteristics). You may share of some of those things with some people - but not everything. I think it's great that we're all different - that means every person you meet can teach you something.

You've probably already heard this by now, but we ARE all different. If we were all the same, we would pretty much be clones. We are all different, though many of us may have the same tastes, dreams, interests, traits, etc. There IS such a thing as individuality, and it's going down the drain in today's culture. That's why it's being played up--because we're losing some of it.

don't get this wrong.not all people are the same they're like the finger prints everyone is different than anyone else. So you can see that you're not like me, I love Blue and their songs, you may don't. Everyone is unique by his abilities to do or not to do anything possible. We're different and everyone is special, that's the ultimate truth

ROMANTIC LOVE; how else are we supposed to fall in love and marry the one person out there for us if you're husband/wife is not 'special' is some way.

If most people did not believe they were special, they would lose their self esteem, hope, and ideals of marriage. Our society is based on everones individuality, the adoration of famous 'special' people, and the possibility that your specialness may one day be recognized.

We are most definitely and demonstrably not the same. Certainly we have a lot in common but each and every human being is unique. To suggest uniformity would indicate a very shallow study of people. Look deeper and cover a wider spectrum of criteria and you will always find variance.

It is because while we all may be mass conformists in certain aspects (like religious, social or political outlooks) in order to blend into society, there are some elements of randomness which is a part of humanity itself. This particular "randomness" when it comes to handling certain situation is what makes each one different from the other - while one would immediately jump into to save a woman in distress, another would merely walk past and not give a damn...that sort of thing.

Some people have personalities, some people don't. Some people are apathetic whiners, some people aren't.

But we aren't the same. That is simply a lie, wether it is taken from a genitic prespective or a personality one. I am like no other, therefore I am me.

someone may have a certain aspect in common with someone else, but the collection of aspects that constitutes that person as a whole is unique, their personality, their circumstances, their beliefs..
