If you will be 18 on election day, you ARE allowed to vote in all 50 states. In some states (Ohio for 1), if you will be 18 on the date of the November election, you can register and vote in the primary.

Anyone who will be 18 on election day is legally allowed to vote. People who will turn 18 shortly before or on the day of an election are allowed to register before actually turning 18.

If you're 18 on Election Day, then you're allowed to vote; if not, then you're not. (Some states also allow 17-year olds to vote in primaries if they'll be 18 before the general election.)

Honestly, no. It would be too confusing if everyone who had to wait until a particular age to wait until their specific birth month as opposed to the actual date.

Look at it this way, you're only a year away and that will allow you plenty of time to learn about the issues and maybe you'll find a candidate who feels the same way about voting as you.
