Virginity is best defined as the "act of never having been sexually engaged". Virginity itself is the intact hymen.
There is a small membrane that is inside your vaginal walls. This membrane can be broken either by being extremely sports driven (riding horses, gymnastics) or by intercourse. This is the technical term (what a doctor would classify as) a virgin. If a doctor examined you and found your hymen intact then that doctor would classify you as a virgin.
The act of sex, either consentual or non consentual, does exclude you from being a virgin. Virginity isn't a mental thing, it's a physical thing.
If you've had sex with anyone, any penetration, or have had your hymen broken, then you are not, in fact, a virgin.

A virgin is what my wife was until we were married (she was almost 22 years old). In other words, a virgin (male *or* female) is someone who has never had sexual intercourse, or as I prefer to call it, engaged in the "act of marriage"! Your virginity is a precious gift which you can only give once. It is best if you save it to give to the person or the opposite sex whom you one day marry!

A female that has not had sex is a virgin, there is a bit of skin near the opening of your vagina called the hymen when you have sex for the first time it will break and bleed a bit, but it ca also be broken when riding a horse so I have read in books. Don't have sex for anyone save it for a man you love because you will always remember the first time.

Ah..well if you're only 14...then get away from the person that asked you that..you're way too young to be asked that question...well...based on the fact you don't know what a virgin is...you probably are one..it just means that you have not had sex with anyone before...so let's hope that is the case with you..save yourself for marriage!!!..it's the best thing!

There is a lot of interpretation about the word
virgin nowadays,Virginity in my opinion is synonyms of innocence in once sexuality,you
may not be engage in sexual intercourse w/ somebody but if you are exploring some kind of sexual pleasures,...one cannot call that person a virgin,she is just merely smart!
Virgins doesn't crave any sexual desires coz'
they just don't know it.they are mistaken as a
personification of strong character not easily
swept by emotion??this is only my opinion.

There is no answer to 'how do i know if im a virgin' its just up to you.
Yes, most common of explinations are that you have never had sexual intercourse before..
Not always true tho, people have sex and not like it, or have had non-consented sex which they would rather forget.
Just because you have sex doesnt mean your no longer a virgin, its just you have had sex.

It is someone that hasn't had sex and don't be pressured into it by people calling you names. Your only 14 and have plenty of time for that sort of thing.
