When I looked at their depth chart it made me think of the fans on the movie Major league. "who the hell are these guys" LOL.

Not only their terrible WR depth, but also their problem at QB, will cause the Vikings to be the worst passing team in the NFL . Tarvaris Jackson hasn't even started a full season's worth of games and they don't have any experienced veterans to give him some mentoring. The only saving grace that the Vikings pass game can have is that they can run the ball fairly well.

Minnesota has struggled for years. They have improved their running game two years in a row (Taylor and Peterson). They added Hutchinson the best guard in the NFL last year too.
Williamson was a first round pick of the 2005 draft (7th overall) and is still one of the fastest players in the NFL (if only he could run routes, block, catch the ball, and be an offensive player). He drops a lot of balls and has shown he is not dependable. But what other options do they have but to start him?
They did draft Sidney Rice who out of South Carolina in the second round (44th overall). He should actually get the most yards and TDs this year and has more potential than anyone else. He is 6'4" with good speed and a good route runner. I just watched his highlights and he does do a good job holding on to catches in traffic. Scout say he needs more strength, but didn't have anything other negitive comments. He is one of many talented recievers in this talented recieving class. He will start. Check out his scouting report at: http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/players/125267
Yes Bobby Wade is another option they have. I'm not impressed with him and think he should be their #3 reciever. He had some catches in Tennessee last year, but is no mare than a below average reciever (I agree that it is a joke that he could start).
Jackson completed 58% of his passes in his 3 and 1/4 games last year. He showed he can run a little with a 5.1 average and his arm strength is similar to that of Bret Farve. But his decision making, accuracy, recieving core and coaching staff make me agree with you that he is not going to have a good season. As a double-A QB, you have to wonder if he can catch up to the speed of the NFL and read defenses while avoiding sacks.
I don't know if the Vikes will be dead last in passing...I mean tons of teams are in transition (The Raiders offense is like an average college team). At least the Vikes have a good line and a running game going for them. If Rice can be the Anquan Boldin of '03 (as a rookie, he put up 1377 yards and 8 TDs in a poor Arizona offense that had little talent), then they have a shot at going .500. If not, a top 5 pick for them even with the best run defense in the NFL.

Yeah it's really sad, your right about Troy being a bust. And Bobby Wade a number 2 receiver?????? He's a number 3 at best. They cut their only two decent receivers in Travis Taylor and Marcus Robinson. Jackson has no weapons to throw to. Lets hope Sidney Rice will step up big as a rookie.

I have no idea what you are asking, but it is well publicized that the Vikings offense is going to be bad. As far as Williamson being a bus, I think he is a deep threat with alot of speed so I don't know why you would call him a bus. You may want to revise your post because I can't make out most of it.

I know most people don't know who Billy Mcmullen is, but he looked good when he got the ball last year. He is 6'4 and should end up being a pretty good option. Williamson is JUST in his third year, and the saying always is that receivers need to reach that third year before breaking out. Give him one more year before calling him a complete bust.
Yes, I do agree the passing offense won't be great. But they certainly are not the worst.

yea i was looking at their depth chart just a few minutes ago and was suprised by it. bobby wade as a starter, who hasn't had over 500 receiving yards in his career is a shakey decision. sidney rice over troy williamson isn't that great of a move. the TE situation there isn't that great either, few of them did not have any good seasons recently.

I completely agree. Jackson is still developing a lot. Adrian Peterson will lead the Vikings in receiving yards in my opinion

well it would look that way but what if the recievers were actually better than you gave them credit for. but looking at the previous seasons stats, they will be bad at passing, but not the worst in the NFL. look at the buffalo bills...
