I have heard here and there that since China has a limit on how many offspring one can produce that the females are either killed or sold into slavery. In China a male has, I hate to say, more value. They first off carry on a family name, and probablly also have advantages in their society also.

No, of course it's not true. But there is a shortage of women for the chinese men to marry.

Chinese people have always relied on their children to sustain them and care for them when they are old. When the government limited the number of children to just one per couple, parents sometimes aborted the pregnancy if it was a girl, or killed the girl babies. Not always, but sometime - enough to cause the problem they're having now.

What will they do? Probably the same thing that's happened whenever there's been a scarce resource of any kind - import it, or go to where they are more plentiful. China is encouraging emigration now, I think, so chinese men may go to other countries to find a bride. I don't know if the chinese government will let them bring them back, though.

There ARE adult women, but the ratio of women to men is very imbalanced. It's getting so that poor farmer men cannot get married. The same thing is happening in India. Female infanticide primarily occurs among the rural poor (of which there are many in China) because sons are preferred. Also, Chinese girls are often abandon at orphanges, where they are adopted by Americans or others outside of China.

That is very ignorant. There are so many people in China, both female and male. There is no law that you must kill your female child, and there are still uncontrolled pregnancies going on. China's people are very poor, working for little or nothing to make end's meet.

No. China does have or had a strict rule of two child maximum. Most do prefer to have a son to carry on the family name and business.
