I dont get it either. He may have won more games with a better team than Klingler though. Klingler did have the Bungles behind him. Vince young did have a .1 better qb rating though. Young ran for more yards than Dave, but had a lesser per carry avg.

Vince young is the full package at QB
hes a future Micheal Vick minus dogfighting and of Field incidents
all he needs is a little practice throwing more accurate
he would of had an awsome rookie season if he started half the games

Did you see that run for a touchdown in OT against houston in his rookie year? He didnt have a full season he only got to start about half the games thats why his passing and rushing yards are not as high. look at their winning record with Vince as a starter. If he does not get injured he will take the Titans to the playoffs.

Yeah I have to agree... Great college player, maybe Akili Smith in the pos. His "great" OT run vs. is extremely similar to that of Mike Vick and his winning record is also similar to Mike Vick. Vick led to playoffs, but can't really get past great teams. And with less supporting cast in Tennessee, we'll see how long this en vogue love affair with Vince Young will last.

Because he has shown a lot of potential with what he can do, not only with what he did in college but also the limited playing time he received his first year. I'm not a Longhorns or Titans fan but I'm interested in seeing what he can bring to the table this year. He's an exciting player to watch.

when i first looked at his stats, i noticed he had a low qb rating for a pro bowl, nf madden cover player. very few rookie quarterbacks could change an 0-5 record into an 8-8 record. 8-3 starting record, being forced into the starting line-up mid-year, that's something that requires skill.

It is the intangibles that VY brings to the game. True, stat wise he's average, even in college, but in W-L where it counts, he gets it done. Plus he is a very likable guy, that no doubt will appear on many more magazine covers.

Well, he was like 5-3 as starter...For a rookie, that is good, not to mention they sucked up to that point...and the Rookie of the Year sort of validated that...
