It depends on the question. If the question is serious, I try to give a serious answer. It also depends on my mood. In all cases, I will give an honest answer.
I personally think the questions we ask and the how we answer others' questions reveals more than most people realise about themselves. Click on the profiles of some of the people who answered this question and see for yourself. :-)

Yes I do give attention to the questions I answer. There is no point in answering otherwise. I assume the person asking the question expects their question to be taken seriously so only reply if I feel my answer will be of use.
Does my reply have anything to do with my personality? Possibly in that I expect to give a straight answer to a straight question.

i pay a lot of attention as i answer in the general pets and people are asking for accurate advice,so i have to make sure its worded right and accurate

I am a Brit who now lives in the states and I use this site to keep up with what folks from home are talking about and thinking. I keep up with the BBC so I get the official picture, but it is good to listen to what normal people are talking about.
I like to answer if I "think" I know what I am talking about and I answer as detailed as i think the question merits.

If its just a yes or no then that's what I give If I know what I'm talking about then I give t a bit more If you 10 points 1st to get the right answer I leave them alone

I always reveal too much about myself and my answers are way too long. I think my answers do reveal something about my personality. If someone ask for help, I think someone should really try to help them. If I don't know the answer, I will try to find it for them. However, as startling brilliant as I am, I rarely need to do that..LOL

sometimes I like to funny(or at least try too), but other times I give long, detailed, answers.

I always try to give 100%.Sometimes I am not sure so I search to make sure that the info I give is correct.

If it warrants details, yes. If is simple single word answer, then thats what you'll get.
