That is a so called bubblenest, for a female to put her eggs in
If you don't have a female nearby for him to see it means that he's happy and healthy

It is normal. In nature, the male betta will make a bubble nest (much thicker than the one in your bowl). And he will be the one taking care of the little kids... :)
Dont worry about the bubbles in your bowl. Its natural. Just leave it

Yup. Male bettas build nests and nurture the eggs and (for awhile) the baby bettas that are hatched.
This means your betta is, for the time being, healthy and happy. BUT a bowl is not a great environment for keeping him that way. Consider buying a 5 gallon tank with a heater with a thermostat and good filtration. Bettas are tropical fish, and they need clean, room temperature water to stay healthy.

Yeah, it's normal...males make a 'bubble nest' for when they breed with females...it is their job to collect the eggs and stick them in the bubbles. Using a stronger filter takes away some of the bubbles.

Yes, it's perfectly normal. He's building a bubble nest, which means that he's ready to mate with a female.
