Plethora- it means a whole freaking lot. With 10 children, my grandparents have a plethora of grandchildren.
Castigate- to give someone the tongue lashing of their life. (I like it because it sounds like castrate, scares men) When he got home at 4am, his wife castigated him for every wrong, perceived and real) of their entire marriage.
