Actually its more the other way around.
Think about it logically, which side is the world supper power and which is the small nation around larger hostile nations.
The United States gives those weapons to Israel to secure its influence and manipulate Israeli foreign policy.
The US is doing a fine job manipulating the area and selling arms (at a nice profit) to both sides.

Personally I find it disgusting and shameful that America would be willing to be the arms dealer in the reason and profit from increased tensions, but what can you do.

If you were to take a look, I mean a good look, at the Middle East, you would discover Israeli factories, sophisticated hospitals, banking, education, housing, and a thriving nation with EQUAL opportunities for of all things--women-- smack dab in the middle of countries whose society has not changed in 2,000 years. Women are still being oppressed, there still is no public roadways, no advancements in education, health or science ~all technology has been BOUGHT. They invent nothing, they buy everything and tell their women what to do and what not to do.
Historically the WEST came there, built oil wells and refineries and HELPED those arid nations' economies to FLOURISH. It's not like they invented oil drilling or manufactured the piplines and mechanical pumps. We did.
Now, these countries have financial resources which they spend on themselves and hate Americans. Don't believe me? Go there and see.
Israel is our ally. We have so few, why screw with the ones we have? They LIKE Americans. We help them and they don't hate us.
I do, however agree that we should not throw tax money overseas when we have our own impoverished Citizens who need our help right here in the USA! I believe in putting America first. Unfortunately our government doesn't see it that way.

The congress and the president can make commitments to other nations.
Unlike other countries, we honor our word.
Write your congressmen, with your problem of how your tax dollars are being spent.
Many American Jews send private funds to support Israeli causes, like wise, they support US politicians too.
Why did Clinton, send $30,000.00 from the US emergency fund to boost the Mexican peso - which failed anyway?
Israel had nothing to do with that.
Our government should be run by us, congress thinks the money is theirs, they need reminding.

The way the laws read currently in the US of A, even Arnold Schwarzennegger can't be an American President. So it is safe to say that America is run by and for Americans.

First off, there are a lot of unreliable sources on the internet and I think you fell victim into one of them. Thirty billion dollars on ammunition for Israel? No.
US government is not run by Israel. Israel and the US are close allies.

That is an old rumor spread to prey on racist, xenophobic bigoted, vulnerable people.
Tell the President and Congress to spend the $ on poverty and famine programs, not guns!

Well you see that allows AIPAC( American Israel Public Affairs Commitee) to come and lobby since they have the money they need for defense. Excuse my sarcasm. The answer to your question is YES. The thing is that the average voter doesnt get it.
