Oh - so lets see, bash two birds with one stone.

If you are Christian and you voted for Bush you are not labeled and not a Christian anymore?

We do care about people, do you think just because we are Christians we have the power to control what others do, and the way the country is won?

WOW that is giving us Christians a lot of power, I didn't know we had that much. Hummmmmmm wonder what I could accomplish today with all that power - gotta go, do something to help you write your next question.....

It seems that Christian voters (me being one of them) have one agenda when it comes to electing a pres......Christian Values. As with George Bush he rode the coat tails of his "Christian beliefs" and swayed many voters, including myself in the beginning. As any good politician should do when running for an office, you run on what you and your campaign staff feel will get you elected. Christians look for someone who exemplifies their values and if they find it, most of the time it becomes hard to look deeper than that into a persons motives. I did and I realized that Bush like every other politician has an agenda that I dont agree with anymore. I still would of voted for him against Kerry anyday, that guy would have brought just as much havoc as Bush has.

Many vote blindly along party lines without paying any attention to the character of the candidates or what they stand for. They say, "I voted for Bush because he's a Christian", ignoring the fact that Kerry is a Catholic and Gore is a Baptist. One said to me, "I couldn't vote for Kerry because he's a liar", as if Bush hasn't lied to us or misled us many times. To some conservatives, the Republican party is like their religion, and they can't be swayed from it by facts or logic, no matter how overwhelming the evidence is. That's why the rest of us need to be equally devoted. We can't afford to sit back and say, "My vote won't count for much", because if we don't vote the fanatics will, and the wrong candidate may win again.

The RNC is against abortion, and that is the issue the Christians grabbed on to. I have many christian friends and they still think that the conservatives are on there side, (if Jim Dobson says so it is so) even with overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Talk about faith, maybe misplaced. I keep leading these people to Ephesians 5:6-7.

Voting for a person is always risky. You don't know what either of the candidates would do in a sticky situation. When we vote for a person...it doesn't mean we are okay with everything that person does afterwards.

Probably because we hate to see people tortured and slaughtered for something as little as losing a game, or just being Kurd, or refusing to join the bath party. That is why I voted for bush. I would even want to protect you from being forced to convert to Muslim.

Why do Dems/Libs continue to generalize even though every day there are republicans on here voicing their distaste for Bush?

Because Bush went after the "evil doers" who are Muslims, Gays, Lesbians, and Pro-Choice people. They are the ones who are "evil" - religion is awful. Just awful. It's the deadliest weapon man has ever created.

Of the options available he was the most palatable to a lot of Christians. Kerry or Gore would be much worse.
