Yes.

While not all will like his appearance at the floods, many of those working to help, as well as those affected by the floods will appreciate him turning up.

So yes, Prince Charles was "right to interrupt the rescue services at work."

How long did he "interrupt " it for?

By visiting the flooded areas he's showing that he actually GIVES a damn about what happens to the people of this country. If he didn't visit at all he's be accused of not caring.

Don't like the Monarchy? Then why live here?! There are plenty of countries like America where you can live under a "truly democratically elected" leader.

Like Bush (ROFLMAO!)

BTW Where are the politicians when this terrible thing is happening to British people? Oh yes thats right theyre all sunning themselves on holiday! Including Mr Backhander himself, Blair and his ghastly wife . . .

These people are between a rock and a hard place. If they do not show up they are accused of not caring. if they do show up they can delay the work. On balance in spite of what I have said before, I think these short visits raise the morale of people working their backsides off, just as long as they do not make promises they can not deliver because that ruins morale. Remember Blair and his promises to the forces.

These people werent fighting for survival.
The Prince's presence highlights the plight of the victims.
Having said that, the transport and security operations are costly, perhaps this money would have been better targetted at flood defences. The same defences that local councils have ignored ,because they blew their budgets on mosques and immigrant support.
