John Robert Powers is pretty good. Or you can get a private acting coach to help you alone. Both are quite expensive, not including headshots, resumes and the time auditioning takes.

Acting comes naturally if you have talent, so you don't always need a coach. Experience IS the best coach.

Most successful actors and actresses never even took an acting lesson, though it's of course good to cultivate talent. The best thing to do is check out your school, check out drama and if you can't do that join your local theater.

Good luck! (Hope to see you on set!)

Sorry, you do not learn to act in an acting school. You learn to act by acting, by being in plays in school, in the community, and so on. If you have some natural ability for acting and have deveoped it by being in lots of plays, an acting school can, in some cases, provide you with some advice and a little more experience. I advise young actors for free, write me at kencosp@aol.com with all of your questions. Oh, by the way, one good acting school in Northern Cal is The San Francisco Academy of the Arts which is a college.

ACT in San Francisco has a good program. I do commend your decision to study. There are people who believe that one doesn't have to study acting, but in my experience, there's a great deal to learned.

Best of luck
