The highest selling is The Daily Telegraph, it far outsells it's rivals.

The Sydney Morning Herald is the best newspaper in Sydney and can be found at http://www.smh.com.au
The Australian is a national newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch. It has a right wing bias and supports the federal government. It does, however, have a good coverage of AFL and the best crossword puzzle in the world, the Times crossword. http://www.theaustralian.com.au
Both these are broadsheets.
The Daily Telegraph is a Murdoch tabloid much given to excess, right-wing ravings and Rugby League. It does not have the saving grace of a decent crossword puzzle. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au

The Daily Telegraph. It's popular and rather gossipy (tells you what you want to hear). Comics are decent, they have Insanity Streak and Garfield.
The Sydney Morning Hearld is good if you like more facts than fiction. It's the sort of paper you'd expect your dad to read over the breakfast table.
