Language helps communicate to others. When columbus landed in the west indies the indigenous people feared the visitors.

So to bond with each other language becomes only a means. Which is very essential. Religion is the basis of spirituality of a country or group of people. For example when settlers landed in South America they were seen as People to be dreaded(misread, to be scared, etc). When everyone started to learn the language and communicated, both shared their spirituality.

Missionaries started to preach Catholic, Protestant, Church of London beliefs to the natives of the country they settled in.

My personal belief is there should be "One Auxillary Language" with no barriers, and A religion who believes in ONE language. Unity and peace should be the main focus of everyone.

Language = horizontal relationships, Religion = vertical relationships

Are you suggesting Latinos go back to sacrificing virgins to the sun god? Are you saying they're easily swayed, so unhappy with their lifestyles that introducing them to alternate cultures is the equivalent of brainwashing?

Or are you saying that while living in the U.S. and enjoying the benefits of the culture won by their North American neighbors, they should be allowed to force us to accommodate lifestyles that were so unsatisfactory to them that they chose to leave their own homes and heritage?

Tell me one Catholic country where the citizens prosper. Tell me one historically Protestant country where they don't. Please.

Language is very important in any culture to know how to communicate with its people. But religion is only important in some countries like in the Middle East , because they are very religious peoples. Like , for example, they never like a woman wearing skimpy clothes, they consider looking at her sin, so she , for them, would be a stumbling block.

Good luck!

Communication is important for obvious reasons
How could it not be?

Religion - most people have questions about where they come from etc. So that's natural too
