why are most Australians blond when most of Australians came from Burnett Britain??

i mean, British people are dominantly Burnett. but why is it that their relatives in Australia are dominantly blond???

That is a very interesting question. I am guessing that maybe since it is warm and sunny most of the time in Australia, that they are out in it more and then the sun makes their hair blonder, and overtime children's children have lighter hair.

Whereas in Britain, it is not so warm all the time, and sometimes rainy or drizzly, so who knows. I am banking on the pigmentation factor here, but I could be wayyyyyyyy off-base.

A majority of British criminals in Victorian times were blonde. They were shipped out to Oz. Hence blonde Aussies.

It is genetic some how every race has certain features about them to tell them apart. But I don't think all Australians are blonde's, only some.

nope...its because in 1980-th a lot of russians came to Australia...sun just can make them like afro-s,its not sun factor,its because the most immigration was from Germany,Scandi and Russia places....to Australia....If you think that it sun make them from black to gold or yellow....why afro-s and asians still with black hair?......its very bad,that now in some countres society is so ignorant

I didn't know they were. Most of the Australians I've ever met were brunette.

well maybe its cos the sun bleaches their hair, cos im blond bt in the summer i go mega blonde!
