If your other friends, the ones who do not know, never showed any interest in the same music endeavor, why should you tell them? I think that it is very enterprising of you and your friend to try and reach your goals. What you are doing, keeping it between the two of you is not wrong. I think it is actually very wise to keep this to yourselves. Sometimes, when too many people are involved in a project, there is a tendency for much more disagreement, and difference of opinions. I say, Good Luck to both of you, and hope your dreams come true!

Well, I had the exact same problem with the writing songs, and the other friends. See what I did was I told my other friends from the start because I never thought of the problem as a big secret. Now of course my other friends and me and my singing buddy had a big agurment about who would get how much money if we made it big. We told them we had to cut them out of the money and that they couldnt join us. When or if u tell ur other friends that ur doing this they will ask for cuts of the money or to join. U hav to tell them no. K? Take my advice, its ok that ur hiding this secret but there's no point of it because there going to find out sooner or later.

It's never a good idea to keep a big secret from a friend you consider close. I would reccomend telling them, but then again, you can't be expected to include them in everything you do. You and your friend are independent and if you decide to do something without them, i wouldn't say they could complain about being left out!

Keep following your dreams! Best of luck!

It's never good keep a secret from your friend. But if you and your friend feel that it's better to be just the two of you, then I suppose it could be okay. And if they find out, just tell them that it's something you and your friend wanted to do together. And if they are mad, tell them that what you did doesn't mean you're any less of friends (if you get wha I'm saying).

Trust me with success comes conflict. If or when you guys hit it big your friends don't understand why you didn't tell them, then they were never your friends. Tell them that you didn't want them to know in case things didn't work out. Situations like these brings out the best and worst in people and this will give you a chance to see who are really your friends

My daddy always said if it takes more than one hand to count your true friends, you'd better turn around and count them again. Your FRIENDS will not make fun, tease, be mad, or put you down. However, your 'friends' may. Your gut instinct or 'woman's intuition', as I like to call it, will let you know right off what to do. This gift, will also keep you out of trouble if you are in tune with yourself. Good luck.

Ahhh...
Sell out, you can buy friends later.
Just kidding.
I wouldn't put it in the bag yet. I think you'll have time to worry about it.
I was supposed to be a rock star like ten years ago, my friend was going to play for the Cardinals and another guy was signed to Death Row!
I think we're still in the same city,
life sucks

no i don't just because they are you friends you are not obligated to tell them everything your do. if fact i am very close in what i tell my friends -- a friend today a back biter tomorrow and you sure do not want them to know anything that they could use against you. if you hit if big you won't loose them but you sure will get a lot of new friends.
