There have been a few players born in Sweden - Charlie Bold, Eric Erickson, and Charlie Hallstrom. Bold played two games, and Hallstrom 1 game, both before 1900. Erickson had a long career. I don't know any more about any of them except their statistics and birthplaces, but I would guess they were all raised in the United States, having immigrated as young children.

There have been four players in MLB or its predecessor leagues born in Sweden, none recent.
Charlie Bold: http://www.baseball-reference.com/b/boldch01.shtml
St. Louis Browns 1914
Eric Erickson: http://www.baseball-reference.com/e/ericker01.shtml
New York Giants 1914
Detroit Tigers 1916, 1918-19
Washington Senators 1919-22
Charlie Hallstrom: http://www.baseball-reference.com/h/hallsch01.shtml
Providence Grays 1885
Axel Lindstrom: http://www.baseball-reference.com/l/lindsax01.shtml
Philadelphia Athletics 1916
You can review the stats, but Hallstrom and Lindstrom only played one game each, and Bold got into two games. Erickson is the only one with a noteworthy career.
