I've heard if you break a mirror, you should pour water over it to deter the 7 year bad luck that will follow.
If you don't pour water over it you will have the bad luck, so just do it, even if you don't believe. If something does happen, then it's up to you to believe or not believe.

The Bible says something about people looking in a mirror and then going on their way forgetting what they look like. It's talking about the commandments. How God described in Exodus 20 that He had set the people free and now they were free to be happy, but sometimes we forget.

well in the Jewish religion when your in mourning over a family member that passed away you cover all the mirrors in your house for 7 days during the mourning period.

theres one about bloody mary. you have to go in a bathroom by yourself with all the lights off, only a candle. you look in the mirror and say bloody mary three times. and supposedly you see her and shes all bloody, and her eyes are red, then she kills you. I ve done it before but nothing happened to me. But try it out, it works good for scaring people too, haha especially your little siblings.

I've heard that if a house is haunted and you can't see the ghost / spirit yourself. That you can put a mirror's' in the house and then you'll be able to see it's "reflection".
Please note : that this is one of those myths about haunted houses and ghosts.

breaking one is seven years bad luck. when someone die syou are suppose to cover them so the soul does not get stuck.

I heard you have to clean them with ammonia-based products so no one can send evil spirits through them to get you.
