Most Indian newspapers will have the exchange rate on the front page or on the stock market news page. Check there. Or call up a Thomas Cook (or whatever it's called, I forget now) or some money exchange place and they'll tell you. The rates vary depending on whether you're buying dollars (getting $$ by paying Rs) or selling them (getting Rs by giving $$) But if you're just curious, a glance at a newspaper will do the trick. Typically, it varies slightly from day to day.
