It rarely means that you are stupid. It probably means that you didn't work very smart. Not everyone can be the brightest and the best in every subject. However, if you think of a course as a game and the grade as the points scored, you will begin to develop strategies that will enable you to play well, or at least well enough to get respectable grades. That's a far cry from being stupid.

There could be reasons for getting low marks in school-
A learning disability- inability to concentrate because of problems at home, a lack of honest effort.
Stupid is as stupid does.
Stupid-would be knowing you have a problem and not dealing with it .
Nah -I don't believe that stupidity and learning have all that much to do with each other.
To me , stupidity is knowing better and doing the wrong thing anyway !

No way. Each person is different. Some are academic, some are athletic, some are artistic, etc. By no means does it mean some one is stupid at all. We are all different. We all have our own unique gifts and talents. Some of the smartest people in the world never went to college, and some never even graduated high school.

nope.. absolutely not.. however.. the education system in my country emphasize on getting good grades.. so it's really oh-so-very-obvious that the students actually study for the sake of the marks and not the knowledge. studying is fun if you dont push yourself too hard..just take it easy and relax.. grades aren't everything.. high marks in school means that your knowledge are based on text books and not a real life situation... does text books teach u how to the important lessons in life.. nope dont think so.. so yeah... seriously dude.. grades aren't everything...what good can the grades do if all the fishes in the river are dead and all the trees are gone... think bout it.

No it doesn't mean you are stupid. You can do anything you set your mind to. In girl scouts our leader did a thing and we had to guess who each person was. All of the people weren't good in school but grew up to be really smart and discovering stuff. I wish I could find that for you.

It could mean one of two things: either you are not studying enough and applying yourself, or you were not born with the brain of an Einstein. There was only one Einstein - the rest of us are somewhere else on the I.Q. scale.

All you can do is your best. If you are satisfied that you are, make the most of what you have. Read, read, and when finished, read some more.

No. Albert Einstein flunked math in school. Albert Einstein was not a good student. But he managed to do some brilliant things.

Thomas Edison was a high school drop-out, and he also did some brilliant things.

No, it just means that school bores you. Remember that JFK and RFK both had low marks in school and in college. They were never good students.

Actually, it is said that smarter people may get low grades. They are just too bored with the simplicity of what they are being taught to pay any attention!

No. "Stupid" isn't simply an inability to learn what you don't already know, "stupid" is doing something that goes against what you -do- already know.

To put it another way, "stupidity" is not simply forgetting one's self and peeing up against an electric fence, it's forgetting one's self _repeatedly_ and peeing against that same electric fence no matter how many times it's jolted you before.
