Is it possible for someone to not like Barry Bonds without being called a rascist? Theres so many questions on here about Bonds and it seems like everytime someone says they dont like him someone else calls that person a rascist.
I dont like Barry Bonds. Not because hes black but because I think he cheated and I think he is an arrogant jerk. You might not agree with me, but that doesnt mean Im rascist.

Come on who plays baseball for ten years and then all of a sudden gets alot better. Someone on roids. The guy is a jackass and doesn t deserve to have his name in any record book except for who took the most seroids. And if they put him into the hall of fame it would be a terrible shame. I stopped watching baseball years ago and if people recognize him as breaking a record there stupid. If his name does go in a book and it doesnt have a big asterics beside it that says he was using performance enhancing drugs then I personally will write off proffesional baseball forever.. Anyone think he could hit that many homeruns if all the pitchers were using the same drugs as him? No. Bottom line is hes an as.s and thats that.

I dont necessarily like or dislike him. Its just I respect his athletic ability. Point, blank, period.
I very much dislike Kobe Bryant, not because of any alleged rape (total sham to make money, btw), but maily because he's an arrogant player who thinks he on the level of Jordan. But that doesn't mean I didn't cheer when he scored 81 points.
Its about respect. Most dont even respect Barry Bonds, which is not right when there are allegation of everyone who is considered great in recent baseball (last 10 years): Conseco, Sosa, McGwire.... I always hear someone new... A-Rod, Griffey Jr., Sheffield, even Gwynn. Its getting out of hand.

It is very possible because he is such a jerk. The press, everyday people he comes in contact with, and most of his own teammates don't like him. I understand he has stopped now, but several months ago he would not talk to his own teammates and he gave them a website to use if they wanted to communicate with him. He will blow off little kids that want an autograph and would not give any of us the time of day if we were to come in casual contact with him. It is certainly not a black or white issue with Bonds, he treats everyone the same. If he treated people with respect many people would have a different opinion about him and I don't believe it is a race issue. With that being said, he is still one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

Every time I hear something about Bonds and racism,especially when it comes from Bonds himself, I want to throw up! Bonds is whiter than most white people. He grew up with money and priviledge, went to private schools and never had to worry about money. If he couldn't play baseball his father could have sent him to any college he wanted.
Barry never does anything wrong, so it must be racism. Everytime a white person disagrees with a black person, it's racism. Barry blew up to look like the Michilin Man ,so it must be racism. What a load of crap!

I don't like Barry Bonds because he has been a jerk to fans, media & other players his whole career. Maybe he grew up spoiled because he was around MLB his entire life but that's no excuse. Steroids, yeah whatever...
I've always been a HUGE Hank Aaron fan. Even growing up a white kid in the suburbs we were ALL Hank Aaron fans and it was a special moment for us to see him break Ruth's record. Aaron played at 5'11" 185 lbs, never broke a bat in a game & still pounded out 755.
Hammerin' Hank will always be the HR king in my mind.
If Bonds is a stand up guy he'll retire at 755. I will respect him then.

You're absolutely right. I don't like Barry Bonds because he cheated, and that's that. I also don't like any of those other players that take steroids either. This has absolutely nothing to do with racism and that's not a fair accusation.

I'm not racist and I do not like Barry Bonds. The man cheated big time, and the public is blind to it. Morality is going down the tubes (and the public doesn't care; the mindless saps are getting fat off fast food and getting brainwashed off Access Hollywood and reality shows).

You only get the racist stuff because they have nothing else to explain their liking the guy. It's funny actually.
He's a loser and a fool. He could have been one of the best without the steroids but he ruined it. Shame on him.
