No, but I have been barefooting since I was almost 29... I'm 39 now. As a kid I always wore shoes, I didn't know anyone who went barefoot regularly on the street and such places until ten years ago, that's when I first heard of anyone doing it and I *immediately* knew it was what I wanted to do too. I had never particularly hated shoes or anything, had rarely given it any thought, but the moment I heard of people going barefoot I knew I never wanted to wear shoes again... well I didn't, and I have not regretted my decision for a second.
It's not gross or dangerous; feet get very tough very quickly and are fully washable. I never divert my step no matter how much glass I see and I get a tiny splinter maybe once a year, never had a cut. And it's *NOT* against the law to go barefoot as one person said; in spite of persistent myths, there are no Health laws requiring shoes, insurance companies don't require or even recommend footwear for customers, and it's not against the law to drive barefoot. Individual stores in the US may have store policies but even those aren't universal; several large chains like Walmart do NOT, for instance, have a corporate anti-barefoot policy either.

I love being barefoot. I live in a place which gets really cold in the winter and flip-flops aren't really conducive to -30 degree temps, so in the summer that's all that I wear.

I'd love to be able to walk around barefoot, but I live in the city so my feet would get covered in gum and broken glass and other questionable substances.
