Chennai folks were called Madrassis, but can be seen as offensive. Tamilians is not entirely correct since there is a very large percentage of Telugus (nicknamed Goltis) live in Chennai. Those from Kolkata are sometimes called as 'Bangla Babu' and 'Bangla Behn'.

Incidentally, not all Mumbai folks are Mumbaikars. For example, the Parsis are called "Khem Cho's" for their habit of responding to 'Khem Cho' (how are you?) with another 'Khem Cho', without answering the first 'Khem Cho'. I'm told that the Parsis don't consider this term insulting.
