I put this into the political section because it seems to be a politically partisan act to stand before Congress the way he has

I respect Republican Arlen Specter a lot. When a Republican hates what a Republican Executive has done, you gotta give him credit for honesty and non-partisanship...he's a decent American for standing up for the Constitution

GONZALES: I meant by that comment, the Constitution doesn’t say, “Every individual in the United States or every citizen is hereby granted or assured the right to habeas.” It doesn’t say that. It simply says the right of habeas corpus shall not be suspended except by —

It is scary how far from reality this administration has come, it may take a lifetime to repair all the damage done to the constitution, the 3 independent branches of government, the protections of workers and citizens and our reputation in the world. We are at a critical time in US history...

Gonzales apparently doesn’t believe in the Constitution and he barely pretends to. He has interpreted away fundamental rights in the Constitution for the sake of expediency.

By claiming that there is no express right of habeas corpus in the Constitution he tries to avoid the entire debate concerning the revoking of habeas corpus through interesting classifications of individuals. It is hard to believe that he is actually the Attorney General of the United States.

Gonzo will be gone-o! We are facing the very Constitutional Crisis that our Founding Fathers warned us about! Our country has never been in so much danger from within! Gonzo is a very stupid person, with no sense of loyalty to the Constitution! His smug attitude is more frighting than the thought of any rag headed terrorists! For all we know, the terrorists are a total fabrication of the neo-cons in order to get control of our country! We still don't know the TRUTH of what really happened on 9-11 !

Gonzales is one dangerous man:

I meant by that comment, the Constitution doesn’t say, “Every individual in the United States or every citizen is hereby granted or assured the right to habeas.”

Then who is granted the right to habeas corpus?
