Why do women keep asking if they're pregnant on Y!A instead of going to their doctor and asking them?

Are they just too lazy to get off their butt and go to the doctor, or do they actually expect a professional medical analysis?

Yea I agree, we can't give them the answer. We aren't the test nor the doctor.

Some Dr's will not see you until you are 10-12 weeks along. Therefore a lot of OB's and midwives are very busy. Many have left or don't deliver babies due to all the lawsuits/high insurance rates. A good Dr. is hard to find get into. I don't know about your area but most of the US is that way.

Some woman just want reassurance until their appt. Some women as 1st timers don't show until 4 mos etc and you don't feel the baby until 20 plus weeks. Also most moms are adults and have not had h.s.. bio in years .

Those of us on Yahoo A! visit this area and love to help. So it is no concern to us to answer these ?'s . Why does it bother you so much????

Because, some women want personal oppinions from other women who know what they are talking about. And doctors may be unaffordable to some women or they may be too young and afraid to tell their parents that they need a pregnany test at the doctors office.

It has nothing to do with being lazy...

Because some women do want a faster information/answer to their questions and Y/A was the easiest way since some people might have the same experience as they do while waiting for their OB-GYNE appointment wherein sometimes it takes 2 weeks to wait.

You know, I really never gave that much thought prior to your question. But now that you mention it, it does seem rather futile to ask others on the computer, whom they don't even know, about their chances of being pregnant as opposed to seeking a medical opinion or even buying a pregnancy test from the drug or grocery store.

I think maybe it's just stuff women like to talk about and us men ought to stay the heck out of it.

I'd let the women/girls sort it out themselves. Women love to talk among themselves about these things. Yes, it is true that none of us can tell these girls if they are preggers.

If you really love women; you should be less critical of how they handle these situations. Remember; there is always a guy involved. Sad but true.

unless you're a female who might be pregnant, don't complain. Some women don't want to feel stupid going to the doctor if they aren't pregnant. Some women want advice from other experienced women. So unless they asked you directly, don't answer them then if you don't like it.

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you... I agree 100% with you...I don't know why they don't just go to their doctor. The only thing I can think of of why they ask us is because they're soooo anxious to find out if they are or not. They want to get opinions of other women who have been pregnant and see if their symptoms match.

for your information not all dr's. give an HONEST answer and they beat around the bush and maybe just maybe some woman like to talk and figure out whats going on so they dont have to sit and worry by their selves..they do it to keep there mind from wondering when they are at home...Talking to other people help people!!1 maybe if you werent so arogant and if you paid attention to women..YOU WOULD KNOW THAT!!!!

Its called: Money, time and patience. Not everyone can afford to go to the doctor to see if their pregnant.
Personally, I don't think that you should really care what people ask on this place. Worry about yourself.

There could be lots of reasons why,maybe their too younger to go the hospital and are afraid of what their parents would say if approached with such a question.
