Americans should count their blessings! the majority of this country never went abroad, many of them never left the state they live in. The freedom, the job opportunity is what motivate people from Pakistan, S. America, Africa, Asia, Middle East to come here to live. Why people from Europe don't care about moving over here? Why people from these countries above don't go there? First of all european countries make very hard in order for you live there by obligating you to speak the language to begin with. Do you see many european coming to the US? Nope! How many people you see here that bring their own culture, live their own culture, and dress accordinly to their culture and barely speak the language...hummm...is that too much freedom? That's another good question.

I've lived in the Philippines, I've been to Mexico numerous times, Hong Kong, Singapore, South . Okinawa, Korea, Somalia, Egypt, Israel, Japan, Macao plus others I can't recall... NO I wouldn't beg to come back... every place has it's up's and downs. I could live anywhere and be happy (would be happiest if there was no country music or cowboys)
BTW I did Beg to stay in the Philippines

The only "fatness" I see are from the ones who blindly follow conservative political talking points then complain or whine about people who hold diametrically opposite views. You have whined about whiners. That, to me, seems more than a bit questionable, and therefore makes your point moot.
Your question also assumes that the ones who insist on accountability and honesty in government are somehow not thinking clearly and hate their country. I contend that the opposite is true. It is only when we demand these virtues from our elected officials that we can call ourselves responsible citizens. It is complacency and not delving deeply into issues, worrying more about what Brittney, Paris and Lindsey are doing than whether or not our elected office holders are honest, that is causing us harm. We "whiners" would hardly be able to improve our nation from India, Pakistan or South America. Perhaps you might consider a move to those places yourself if you are so unhappy about people exercising their Constitutional rights and responsibilities.

Define "whine" please.
If you are referring to political debate and dissonance against the current administration, I would say its because we do not want this country to BECOME like the ones you list. It is our right and dare I say, duty to raise questions against a regime that has spent us into an economic danger zone.
If you mean that we are a torte happy, politically correct nation that is more and more turning to "blogsters", Fox News and You-tube for a daily fix of info-tainment, then I completely agree with you. Id love to see Bill OReilly and Ann Coulter spend 5 minutes outside an air conditioned studio.
Huge "thumbs up" to Lisa above.

Fat and spoiled!!...I lived in Panama for 2 years in the Army and although I loved the country and its people I still love the US and would never want to live in any other place in the world....many of the ones who whine need to live in another part of the world for a while ...maybe then they would appreciate this country more...I've noticed that those who have had it so easy feel the need to imagine problems so they can fit in and complain...its a definite weakness that is infecting this great country......

I'm whining about your question which is an incomplete sentence with a question mark stuck on the end. I guess you mean we should all retreat and not speak of the mess that this administration continues to make. Free speech is only permissible if we praise the mess-makers, believe their lies and don't rock the boat. Is that what you want? You must think Bush actually is a dictator and Americans are serfs! Balderdash! This is a free country and the only one trying to change that is the Great Decider! We are being administered by a bunch of incompetent idiots and some of us refuse to sit back and say nothing!

Maybe if you went to India or Pakistan you would realize that this is our America, where generation after generation of our ancestors have lived and generation after generation of our children will live. Maybe then you would take some responsibility for our country, the way it is run, and the way it will be left for our children. If we, as Americans, allow our politicians to run the government into the ground, as they are currently doing, what will be left for our children? A struggling second-rate country. India, Pakistan, and African nations were all powerful at one time. The people became complacent, stopped questioning their government, and allowed the societies to crumble. The people you are calling "whiners" are the patriots who want our country to succeed. You and people like you who turn a blind eye to corruption, war-mongering, and waste are enemies of America. You are welcome to leave and be complacent somewhere else.

I strongly suspect that most of the people that you allude to in your question simply complain about most things because that's just their nature. Not just politics - but the state of everything they come in contact with.
I do agree that a growing number of Americans in general have become ungrateful and take most of what they have for granted - including their voting rights and privileges.
It's never been truer - "In a democracy, the people always get the government that they deserve."

One of the great things about our country is we can whine all day and get away with it.Consider the people you are referring too. There lives are so small that whining is all they have. We live in a society that has many problems, It is not Eden but it is the best place to live on this planet.Yes if they all left on Monday they would be pounding on the door to get back in on Friday. What worries me is as a society we are becoming weaker and weaker. Soon we will not have the desire to protect ourselves and apathy will sweep the nation, when that happens all is lost.WE NEED TO FIX THIS AND REGAIN PRIDE IN OUR COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
