I have Four guppies in a 30 gallon tank, lots of fake plants and big hollow stumps for hiding places. Got a couple other fish in the tank as well.
Now three guppies are all picking on the biggest guppy in the tank. They dont seem to be biting it, But they either take turns or gang up on this one guppy, pushing on its side just infront of its tail fin. At first I thought they where playing but now Im not so sure, cause its only this one fish they are messing with.

I have two diferent spiece's? of guppy. The two little ones are solid colored and look exactly the same, but ones blue and the other is yellow. Then the two bigger ones Look alot alike except the tail fins are different colors. Ones yellow sunburst looking and the littler of the two has a flame look on its tail. But the one being bothered is deffinitly bigger then the rest, and they arnt hurting it, just hounding it.

They will bite and push each other around if they are trying to mate with the female, do you know what sex the biggest one is? if she is female then the other fish are probably doing what mine do and are just competing for attention, My guppies also do this sort of behaviour when it's feeding time, but yes, if the biggest one is sick then they will also pick on it. Fish will push sick ones away, the same as a bird will knock a baby out of the nest if it thinks it sick. I would just keep an eye on them and if you notice wounds on it or that the fish is not eating or looks lethargic I'd take it out and put it in a floating (breeding) tank inside the tank for a few days to give it some rest. The breeding tanks are also handy for the guppy fry, but I don't keep my fry in there for long as it stunts the growth, but these fry tanks also make good 'holiday' tanks, the fish can still see what's going on around it but will be left alone.

The largest one is probably female and the other 3 are males trying to breed with her.
Coloring - Are the 3 smaller fish far more colorful than the larger fish? Females don't have nearly as much color as males.
Size - Females are much larger than males. Look at the width of the fish and what we would think is the stomach area. Females are much larger.

If they are all males, then it is probably dominance sparring. If there are males & females, they could be breeding.

It's possible that the big guppie is sick and on the way out.
