Your macbook can be a lightsaber, if you are a nerd like me - that is really enticing. Download this app - http://isnoop.net/blog/2006/05/20/macsaber-turn-your-mac-into-a-jedi-weapon/

Shortcuts are more or less the same as windows, but replace 'control' with the apple key.

the equivalent of control-alt-delete is apple-alt-escape.

To take a screenshot (a picture of your screen) hit apple shift-4. Select a part of the screen. To take a shot of the whole screen, use apple-shift-4 and then the spacebar.

Congratulations. I think you will enjoy the MacBook. There are many cool things about the MacBook you can use.

The Xcode tool chest is bundled with Tiger and allows you to develop your own programs. You do have to install it yourself.

Put the Tiger DVD into your Mac and look for the folder named Xcode.

Find the file called Xcode.mpkg and double click on it.
Click Continue to see the Software License Agreement.
Choose a place where you want to save the Xcode package.
Click Continue, click Install, then type the Administrator password.

You can learn lots about what is "under the hood" of your Mac with this one.

Also, there are Dashboard Widgets, lots of free ones. You can find these at

http://www.apple.com/downloads/dashboard/

Good luck and have fun.
