Stupid question so many great rappers eached their zenith early with amazing lyrics and went down hill from their IE tribe called quest, BDP/KRS-one, De La Soul, Nas. Nothing currently being recorded can touch the lyrics from 1986-1993. Flow and delivery are as good as it ever was with Lil wayne and the like but lyrically its nothing compared the the classics

Jay-z has the best overall lyrical performance, from punch lines to metaphors he's got it.

Ludacris has a great delivery, and makes it interesting.

Lil Wayne has the best punch lines
